Every week I’m interviewing fascinating people in our community, nation and around the world.
The idea came from a Facebook commenter who saw a video of me and my family floating down the river in Island Park. The person said I should turn the tables and interview my dad (Nate Eaton) – so I did and the rest is history!
David Copperfield has been called the greatest illusionist and magician in the world. He holds 11 Guinness World Records and has sold more tickets than any other solo entertainer in history — more than Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and Elvis.
He’s won over 21 Emmy awards for his television specials, received the Living Legend award from the United States Library of Congress and is the first living illusionist to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
David has been performing 15 shows a week at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas since 2003. He has a private museum off the strip that is open by invitation only -- and he invited me in to ask him 7 Questions!

British author Charles Dickens’s David Copperfield was first published 1849-50. Dickens wrote David Copperfield after giving up on writing an autobiography. Parts of his own life story found their way into the novel, such as having to work in a factory. Because of this connection, Dickens referred to David Copperfield as his favorite child.
The novel David Copperfield contains many enduring themes, including the importance of life choices, naivete versus maturity, and perseverance. Important symbols include the sea representing death and the uncontrollable forces in life, flowers representing beauty and innocence, and the Blunderstone Rookery representing the poor life choices of David’s father.

David Copperfield is an American magician, described by Forbes as the most commercially successful magician in history. Copperfield's television specials have won 21 Emmy Awards and 38 nominations. Best known for his combination of storytelling and illusion, Copperfield's career of over 40 years has earned him 11 Guinness World Records, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a knighthood by the French government, and he has been named a Living Legend by the US Library of Congress. As of 2006, Copperfield has sold 33 million tickets and grossed over US$4 billion, more than any other solo entertainer in history.

In April 1983, magician David Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty disappear during a live televised event. The trick involved raising a sheet in front of the statue and then dropping it, which made it seem like the statue had vanished. However, the statue was actually hidden behind one of the towers that held up the sheet. Copperfield also moved the platform that the audience was standing on while playing loud music to distract them from the shift. Helicopters flying around Liberty Island added to the illusion of the statue's absence

Agnieszka Wickfield – przyjaciółka Dawida od dziecinnych lat, kiedy to Dawid mieszkał w domu jej ojca. Zawsze służy mu pomocą. Kilka lat po śmierci Dory Dawid żeni się z nią, ona kochała go całe życie.
Uriasz Heep – człowiek który ubezwłasnowolnił ojca Agnieszki, zagarnął wiele majątków (w tym ciotki Betsey Trotwood), jego intrygi odkrył pan Micawber przy pomocy Traddlesa.
Daniel Peggotty – rybak, brat opiekunki Dawida; przygarnął sieroty: Hama i Emilkę oraz wdowę Gummidge, uważał ich za swoją rodzinę, gdy Emilka uciekła, szukał jej, żeby jej pomóc.

The titular protagonist of Charles Dickens's David Copperfield has become synonymous with the spritely youth facing the vicissitudes of life with aplomb, now a literary archetype.
British author Charles Dickens’s David Copperfield was first published 1849-50. Dickens wrote David Copperfield after giving up on writing an autobiography. Parts of his own life story found their way into the novel, such as having to work in a factory. Because of this connection, Dickens referred to David Copperfield as his favorite child.
The novel David Copperfield contains many enduring themes, including the importance of life choices, naivete versus maturity, and perseverance. Important symbols include the sea representing death and the uncontrollable forces in life, flowers representing beauty and innocence, and the Blunderstone Rookery representing the poor life choices of David’s father.
