Welcome to the mysteries of the universe, a world beyond our imagination where stars are born, galaxies collide, and nebulas light up the darkness. Humanity has looked up to the stars in awe and wonder for centuries. We have explored the outer reaches of our solar system, but there is still so much to discover. From the ancient astronomers who studied the stars to modern space telescopes that can capture the most distant and faintest objects, human curiosity about the cosmos has never wavered.

In this documentary, we will journey deep into space to uncover the secrets hidden within the stars, galaxies, and nebulas that make up our universe. We will delve into the birth and death of stars, the formation and collision of galaxies, and the breathtaking beauty of nebulas. We will look at the new research and scientific discoveries that have helped us learn more about the universe and given us new questions and mysteries to solve.

We will look at the birth of a star, starting from the dense cloud of gas and dust known as a nebula, where gravity causes the material to collapse and heat up, eventually forming a protostar. As the protostar continues to collapse and heat up, nuclear fusion begins, creating the intense heat and light we see in a star. We will also explore the different stars, from small red dwarfs to massive and luminous blue giants, and their impact on the cosmos.

The universe is also home to countless galaxies, each with billions of stars and a vast range of structures, from spiral galaxies with their elegant arms to elliptical galaxies that appear featureless. We will look at how galaxies start, change, and interact over time and how mysterious dark matter and dark energy are essential to how galaxies start and change.

We will also inspect the beauty of nebulas, the vast clouds of gas and dust in space. From the iconic Orion Nebula to the stunning Eagle Nebula, we will explore the different nebulas and their role in the birth and death of stars. We will also delve into the mysteries of planetary nebulas, the glowing clouds of gas and dust created when a star reaches the end of its life. Finally, we will look at the current and future space missions that aim to explore the mysteries of the universe and the technologies that allow us to study the stars, galaxies, and nebulas in greater detail.

Join us as we uncover the universe's secrets and discover just how much we have yet to learn about the world around us. From the birth of a star to the collision of galaxies, from the stunning beauty of nebulas to the mysterious dark matter and dark energy, we will explore the mysteries of the universe and find out how much we still don't know about it.

In the stellar nurseries of the cosmos, stars are born. They live for eons. Then do they die? Why do some live longer than others? Well, it depends on how big they become and precisely what combination of elements they are composed of. Somewhere between here and the edge of the universe lies the answer. Nearly 4000 light years away, further luminous clouds suspended in space encircle what was once a star like our sun. All that's left of it are these brightly colored gases. Elements formed by nuclear fusion deep inside the Star are released into space upon its death. Green and violet, hydrogen, and helium. The raw materials of the universe, Red and blue, nitrogen, and oxygen, are the building blocks of life on Earth. The oxygen in our lungs and the nitrogen in our DNA Were all produced by nuclear fusion. Stars like this had to die so that we could live.

This documentary explores some paradoxes surrounding the idea of alien life. We look at the silicon-based life theory, the dark forest theory of interstellar travel, and the possibility of a paradoxical lack of evidence for alien life.

Ultimately, we attempt to answer the question of why we haven't seen evidence of alien life up until this point. We discuss the potential reasons behind this paradox and explore its implications for our understanding of the Universe.

🔹This journey breaks several laws of physics in order to reach the known limit of the universe, using a spacecraft capable of travelling at any speed.
🔹The distance and speed are approximate, giving us an idea of how fast the spacecraft has to travel to move through the vast expanses of the universe.
🔹Along the way, an AI will explain some important elements of the journey, to give us a more complete picture of what we are seeing.

A new research study has come out claiming that to explain the massive galaxies found at huge distances in James Webb Space Telescope images, the Universe is older than we think, at 26.7 billion years (rather than 13.8 billion years old). In this video I'm diving into that study, looking at what model they used to get at that claim (a combination of the expansion of the universe and "tired light" ideas of redshift), how this impacts our best model of the Universe and the so-called "Crisis is Cosmology", and why I'm not convinced yet!

👩🏽‍💻 I'm Dr. Becky Smethurst, an astrophysicist at the University of Oxford (Christ Church). I love making videos about science with an unnatural level of enthusiasm. I like to focus on how we know things, not just what we know. And especially, the things we still don't know. If you've ever wondered about something in space and couldn't find an answer online - you can ask me! My day job is to do research into how supermassive black holes can affect the galaxies that they live in. In particular, I look at whether the energy output from the disk of material orbiting around a growing supermassive black hole can stop a galaxy from forming stars.

The Universe is incredibly vast. Naturally, humans always wanted a glimpse beyond its limits. To answer the question of what is beyond our Universe, we must first understand what the Universe is. Today, we will learn about the structure and size of the Universe, and try to take a look into the unknown. We will start our journey with the Solar system, where we will get a chance to marvel at rare photographs taken by spacecraft. After that, we must leave our star system to see what secrets are kept by the neighboring system Alpha Centauri. Wandering around space, we will come across black holes that can not only consume everything in their way but also create entire new star systems. We will end our journey beyond the bounds of our Universe, where we will encounter an identical copy of yourself.

[M/V] MINHYUN (NU'EST) - Universe (별의 언어)

This track is a pre-release track from the upcoming NU’EST album. It signals to conclude the “Three-part Knight Series” which began with the 4th Mini Album, [Q is.].

The single, [Universe (별의 언어)], which interconnects with the previous albums, indicates a fresh new start for an unfinished story.

The single is a medium tempo, R&B-Pop genre track that exhibits a sophisticated and lyrical ambiance through the harmony of a cozy guitar riff and trendy synth sound.

The James Webb Space Telescope observations show we may be wrong about the age of the universe. A new cosmology model that fits the high-redshift galaxy data observed by JWST suggests the universe could be twice the currently accepted age. This means the universe could be 26.7 billion years old.

NASA's James Webb Space Telescope is an infrared observatory and has the potential to look at those regions of the cosmos that no other telescope could. With its powerful instruments, it opened windows to the last unexplored era of the cosmos, the first billion years after the big bang. But the currently accepted lambda-cold dark matter model has not been able to explain the JWST observations of high redshift galaxies.

The new model called the CCC + TL model, is a combination of Fritz Zwicky's Tired Light (TL) hypothesis and the novel Covarying Coupling Constant (CCC) model. The CCC + TL model has explained JWST observations better than the ΛCDM model.

But what’s the evidence in favor of the revised age of the universe? And if the universe is really 26.7 billion years old, how does this impact our understanding of the cosmos?

The 68th episode of the Sunday Discovery Series answers all these questions in detail.

Is The Universe 26.7 Billion Years Old? Brian Cox on The Big Bang

#bigbang #briancox #jwst

Subscribe to Science Time: https://www.youtube.com/sciencetime24

Dive deep into the cosmos with renowned physicist Brian Cox as we explore an audacious theory that could upend our understanding of the universe's age in this intriguing video, "Is The Universe 26.7 Billion Years Old? Brian Cox on The Big Bang".

Venture through the enigmatic world of cosmology as we discuss the possibilities that our universe might be almost twice as old as current estimates suggest. Brian Cox guides us through groundbreaking research and novel concepts that hint at an ageless cosmos, painting a cosmic landscape filled with 26.7 billion years of mysteries.

From the Big Bang's explosive event to the provocative notion of evolving 'coupling constants' and the fascinating concept of a Multiverse, Cox unravels the fabric of space and time. Examine how recent observations of surprisingly mature early galaxies may serve as pieces of a puzzle that challenges the very heart of Big Bang cosmology.

Embark on a journey across the vast expanse of cosmic time and space as we contemplate a universe potentially filled with an estimated 2 trillion galaxies. Are we on the cusp of a paradigm shift in our cosmological understanding, or is this a mere cosmic illusion?

In the spirit of scientific exploration, this video stands as a testament to the power of empirical evidence and rigorous scientific scrutiny. Join Brian Cox as we seek answers to some of the most profound questions in cosmology.

What we perceive to be the edge of our universe is not the actual edge of the universe, with most scientists in agreement that more space lies hidden beyond what we're able to see. Last time out, we travelled to the very edge of our observable universe. But today, we will be going even farther, as we wade out into the darkness of the unobservable universe.

just hold me close
u keep me afloat
with u i feel stronger
just imagine all the little things we could do
just imaging if i put my trust in u
oh i oh i

cus u are my universe, my everything, my sunset
u still give me butterflies
my lullaby, u are everything i wanted
when u see me running, run after me don’t let me go
just imagine all the little things we could do
just imagine if i put my trust in u
oh i, run after me

i was down bad in a place where the sun don't shine
had my head down looked up then u fell in my life
i was ducking all signs but look at how the stars aligned
u give me fever, u give me chills
started as strangers now look what we built
oh i, oh i

cus u are my universe, my everything, my sunset
u still give me butterflies
my lullaby, u are everything i wanted
when u see me running, run after me don’t let me go
just imagine all the little things we could do
just imagine if i put my trust in u
oh i, oh i

my universe, my everything, my sunset
u still give me butterflies
everything i wanted
when u see me running, run after me

🌍 Recently, astronomers celebrated a very important birthday... that of the James-Webb telescope. A birthday that deserved to be celebrated, because it is not a telescope like the others! Developed by NASA, with the participation of the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency, the James-Webb is nothing less than the largest and most expensive telescope at the time of its launch. The James-Webb was launched on December 25, 2021. In one month, the telescope reached its orbit, 1.5 million km from Earth. After a first image published in July 2022, the James-Webb revealed images all more impressive than the other, which allowed astronomers to make beautiful discoveries.

🔥 As a reminder, videos are published on SUNDAYS at 6:00 PM.

-------------------------

💥 BEST JAMES WEBB DISCOVERIES:
- The launch of the James-Webb telescope serves many purposes. During its mission, the James-Webb will look to the earliest galaxies, those that appeared just after the Big Bang, to observe their diversity and understand their formation. It will also study exoplanets and their atmospheres, looking for biosignatures that could indicate extraterrestrial life. It will also observe the black hole Sagittarius A*, located at the center of the Milky Way, in order to complete the images produced by an array of telescopes in May 2022.

A little more than a year after its launch, the James-Webb telescope has already exceeded all expectations! It has revealed unprecedented images of nebulae, for the first time visible with such quality, of very distant galaxies and stars. It also provided unprecedented images of planets in our solar system, such as Jupiter and Neptune, which had never been photographed with such precision! Astronomers are pleasantly surprised: the James-Webb has not encountered any technical problems and its instruments are even more efficient than expected!

The first image of the James-Webb telescope was unveiled on July 12, 2022. It is a photograph of the galaxy cluster SMACS 0723 as it was 4.6 billion years ago. Described by NASA as "the deepest and sharpest infrared image of the distant Universe to date," this image is historic. Yet it's not really the deepest image ever, since the Planck satellite photographed the cosmic microwave background, the oldest photons in the universe, in 2013.
Returning to the first James-Webb image, SMACS 0723 is a compact cluster of galaxies located more than 4 billion light years from Earth. The photographed area is actually no larger than a grain of sand! Amazing, isn't it? This image is impressive for its precision (19 galaxies can be seen instead of the 5 observed by Hubble) but not only: it also illustrates an effect of general relativity described by Albert Einstein, the gravitational lens. The gravitational lensing effect is the deflection of light by a mass (planet, galaxy or cluster of galaxies). More concretely, when a very massive celestial body is between an observer and a distant light source, the gravitational lens deflects the light rays that pass near it and distorts the images that the observer receives.
This first James-Webb image, because it is sharper and more detailed than any Hubble image, may help scientists measure the ages and masses of star clusters in distant galaxies in order to build more accurate models of the galaxies that existed in the "cosmic springtime"

How big is the universe? Let's take a journey from Earth to the solar system, closest stars, the Milky Way, and the observable universe. Along the way we will stop by the Oort cloud, Alpha Centauri, radiosphere, Andromeda galaxy, Virgo supercluster, and Laniakea.

After watching this video, you can think a couple things. Either - I’m this tiny, separate thing on a distant planet in the middle of nowhere special. I’ll live for several decades and that will be that. Or you may be thinking, wow, I’m a part of this unimaginably large, possibly infinite universe, that is potentially teeming with life. A part of this thing that I don’t really understand. A thing that, well, no one truly understands. A part of this planet, this node in the sea of space that is coming to life. and things can get very metaphysical after that.

Within our current scientific understanding, it’s easy to feel alone in the universe. We believe that we are separate beings, floating around on a tiny rock in a vast and seemingly dead universe. This is an old and outdated paradigm that needs to be updated. We need to re-examine a few key assumptions and learn to let go of these old beliefs for ourselves and for humanity. I’ll be covering these key assumptions in future videos, but to give you the sneak peek:

1 – First, the idea that you are somehow separate from the universe needs to be obliterated. We are taught that we are individuals, separate from the world out there. Of course, with assumptions and beliefs like that, you will feel like a lost soul, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Although we feel that we are independent creatures roaming around, we’re not really separate. We’re not independent of the world we live in. We’re in an intimate, inseparable symbiotic relationship with the world we live in. Humans and nature are one in the same. We are actually a part of it - a piece of the whole.

The universe is not outside of you - you're in it. You’re a function of the universe in the same way that one of your skin cells is a function of your whole body - a function of you. We are an aspect of the universe, so it doesn’t make any sense to set yourself apart and say you're an isolated object surrounded by a vast alien entity. You grew from that entity and you're inseparable from it. If you ever feel lost, just remember that the force that guides the stars, guides you too. You are a result of nature just as much as a star or planet is.

2 – The second key assumption that needs to be re-examined is our narrow definition of what life is. the distinction between living and non-living is a definitional difference. This division is actually just a concept in our minds, which is why there is so much debate on what is considered to be alive. For example, some say viruses are alive, while others say they are not.
Our line between living and non living always seems to be moving. We used to think that we were the only intelligent, living things. Then we expanded it from ourselves to animals, insects, plants, cells, and now we are asking -

Are viruses, bacteria, endospores (which can live without nutrients for millions of years – don’t grow, move, excrete, or do anything until the environmental conditions are right), and DNA alive in a sense?
There is no clear consensus on what life is because there really is no clear line where you can say this is living and this is not. We have definitions of what we think is required for something to be alive, life as we know it, but it’s a very incomplete understanding of what intelligence is and what being alive means.

What if life is more inherent and fundamental to the universe than we’ve assumed. The universe is not some static mechanistic material thing that we once believed it to be. It’s not a bunch of dumb matter floating around aimlessly. The idea of the universe being like a machine grew out of Newton’s ideas of a clockwork universe. We now know that the universe is not static like a clock – it is a process of constant change - of movement and evolution. The universe is more comparable to an organism than a clock. I’m not saying the universe is an organism - I’m simply stating that it behaves more like an organism than a clock. Could it be that the universe itself has some type of intelligence, awareness, or a different type of consciousness than our own? Is it possible that the universe is alive in a way that isn’t quite clear to us from our tiny perspective – in a way beyond our ability to comprehend? Kind of like how a cell in our body doesn’t know that it is part of a larger, more complex being.

This idea ties nicely into the previous idea that we are not separate from the universe. If we are intelligent and alive and not separate from the universe, then it would be logical to conclude that the universe is also intelligent and alive in a sense. In my opinion, a living being cannot be the product of a dead universe. These topics will be covered in more depth in future videos.
