The Postmodern Era | Modern Classical Music

In the fifth of our music history video series we'll continue to explore the developments of modern classical music as it evolved into the 20th century. Many musicologists believe the we're still in the postmodern period, with many of today's developments and trends being continuations or reactions to the three main branches of Postmodern concern: total control, minimal control, and historical reinvigoration (a return to past styles and aesthetics through modern composition). We'll introduce the main genres that developed to musically address these three areas, and touch on some of the many luminaries whose work came to embody the era.

Join us as we delve into the latest period in classical music history.

Lyrics:

We can win the race
20 seconds to the start...
We can win the race

You have a dream you win tonight
Take the chance, Take the chance
God is on your side
We pray for you you're like a hurricane
You can win, you can win, you can win the game
Tray
You want to win a girl
There's a million fans around
Our dream is free,
We want the victory
The hero's back in town

Oh come on we, we can win the race
Oh he fights just face to face
Oh see, he will win the game again, again, again
Ow come on we, we can win the race
Oh he, he won't take the chance
Of only the strongs survive
We'll stay by your side

The music industry has embraced the popularity of retro audio media...but a few independent artists have branched out to release their tracks on a format I wouldn't have expected.
