MAU BILANG APA dari AFAN DA5 terpilih jadi soundtrack ke-5 sinetron MAGIC 5 yang tayang setiap hari di INDOSIAR. Cinta tak berbalas menjadi tema lagunya kali ini. Meski punya lirik galau, nuansanya dibalut dengan musik upbeat, seolah Afan ingin menggambarkan kesedihan yang tak ingin berlarut, menerima kenyataan lalu move on. Hal ini persis seperti potongan lirik di bagian chorus “Bukanlah Jodoh, Mau Bilang Apa”.

Dari awal mendengarkan musik demo, Afan langsung jatuh hati dengan lagu MAU BILANG APA. Maka tak heran, pemeran Gibran di MAGIC 5 ini langsung mudah mengintepretasikan makna lagunya. Usai shooting MAGIC 5, jam 8 malam Afan langsung melakukan rekaman. Tak membutuhkan waktu lama, kurang dari 4 Jam proses recording rampung. Itupun diselingi dengan makan ketoprak sebelum lanjut take vocal. Kata Afan biar nambah energi sampai malam.

MAU BILANG APA diciptakan oleh News Presenter Indosiar, Ryan Wiedaryanto yang bekerja sama dengan composer Seli Pontoh. Musiknya dikemas energik khas anak muda oleh Marcel Aulia.

Music Video lagu ini menggambarkan Afan yang galau lalu menelusuri gemerlapnya ibukota. Mulai dari naik MRT, berjalan di pusat kota, sampai menuju Taman Literasi di kawasan Blok M. Uniknya, beberapa orang yang Afan temui juga menyanyikan syair lagunya, seperti saat ia bertemu manusia patung dan pasangan yang sedang ribut. Seolah mereka juga sedang menyuarakan isi hatiyang sama dengan lagunya.

Dan bukan Afan namanya kalau tak ada adegan dance. Ditemani 4 orang dancer, Afan dengan energic melakukan koreo di tengah Taman Literasi. Shooting yang berlangsung dari jam 8 malam sampai 1 pagi inipun berlangsung menyenangkan dan penuh tawa. Meski berpindah-pidah lokasi, Afan selalu bersemangat.

Semoga “MAU BILANG APA” diterima masyarakat luas, baik Magic Fivers maupun penggemar musik tanah air. Afan sendiri yakin, karya dari hati akan sampai pula di hati. Enjoy!
